Know your Coins, Know Your History - I

10 Dec 2019 - 10 Dec 2019The first of the proposed fifteen Outreach Workshops was conducted on Know Your Coins, Know Your History at St. Xaviers College, Mumbai on 10th December, 2019 from 1 PM to 4.15 PM. The workshop was conducted by Amiteshwar Jha, Director (Research), INHCRF and comprised of an informative lecture with multimedia presentation on the history of ancient Indian coins starting from the pre-coinage money stage, and the importance of coins for knowing our history. Students were thrilled when they were shown a few ancient coins. The workshop received an overwhelming response and was attended by more than 120 under-graduate and post-graduate students of the Department of Ancient Indian History.
